Daniel J. Tripathi is a criminal defense attorney who focuses on complex trials. Mr. Tripathi obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California where he majored in Systems Engineering. His Juris Doctor is from Southwestern University School of Law, where he was a member of the prestigious SCALE program. He is admitted to practice in the state of California (Bar no. 245317) and the United States Central District Courts in California. Mr. Tripathi dedicates part of his time as an independent contractor for Criminal Defense Lawyers (CDL), which is the conflict defense panel in Riverside, California. He maintains 20-30 cases, primarily misdemeanor and felony trials with CDL, aside from his private practice.

Prior to becoming a defense attorney, Mr. Tripathi was employed as a Contract Attorney for a renowned downtown Los Angeles firm. His primary project there was a high profile securities fraud case which involved complicated concepts such as shareholder derivative suits, vendor managed inventory and evergreen options. Mr. Tripathi has also been employed as a patent attorney both in Malibu, California and in Evanston, Illinois.

Mr. Tripathi’s prior non-attorney experience includes being a member of the management team for an international manufacturing company as the Director of Quality and Customer Service. His extensive management experience included directly supervising a team of 18 which included area managers and engineers. For five years in several different plants he developed components for Ford, Chrysler and GM; launched a cell manufacturing system; implemented six sigma programs; drafted facilities major reports and greatly improved quality as shown in audit results.
